What you are doing
You are creating a separate trading environment inside the Bybit Main Account. Each running HEDGERON bot should use its own dedicated subaccount.
Why it matters
Separation makes capital, positions, permissions and reconciliation easier to control. It also prevents unrelated strategies from consuming the same margin.
Before you start
Sign in to the Bybit Main Account. Do not choose Custodial Trading Subaccount or another managed-account product.
Step by step
- 01Open the Subaccount area from the Bybit account menu.
- 02Choose Create and select Standard Subaccount.
- 03Enter a clear nickname that identifies the HEDGERON engine.
- 04Keep the account in the supported Unified Trading Account configuration.
- 05Confirm the creation and switch into the new Standard Subaccount.
What you should see
The new account appears in your Subaccount list and can be selected with Account Switch. Bybit states that a Standard Subaccount is distinct from a Custodial Trading Subaccount.
Security check
The API key created later must belong to this Standard Subaccount. HEDGERON rejects Main Account credentials.
Common problems
The subaccount is not visible
Check whether Account Switch is enabled and whether the subaccount is frozen.
The wrong account type was created
Do not connect it. Create a Standard Subaccount instead.
Next step
Transfer the selected bot capital to the new subaccount.
Privacy note
HEDGERON Help analytics must never collect API credentials, passwords, private account values or secret-bearing URLs.
